Day 1!
“Ah! The day has come!” I said. I was so excited to visit Las Vegas for the first time! Likewise, I had all my stuff packed up, and I was ready to go. Finally, we got into the car, and we drove off on the way to the car parking lot. It took us an hour to reach the car parking. On the way, I thought,” What would I see in Las Vegas?” and “How would the weather be?”
After 1 hour, we made it to the car parking lot ! There we met a man. He said that we have to park our car here and go in his shuttle, so we did. The man drove us to the airport and dropped us off at terminal B. We entered the airport, checked in our bags, and went to the Airport security. The Airport security was really quick! We put up our bags, went through the scanner and came back out!
Later, we searched up a lounge and headed for it. The Lounge's name was the SJC Lounge and it looked very beautiful! It had M&Ms with nuts, chips & salsa, and a lot more. They were really tasty.
Then, after spending some quality time at the lounge, we went back to the gate and boarded the flight. The flight time was 1 hour to Las Vegas. Vroom! The flight was in the air! In the flight, since I was bored and tired, I slept for some time. Then, the flight attendant came to serve us refreshments & drinks. I got a pocketful of salty snacks, and so did my mom and dad. For the drinks, I ordered an orange juice, my mom ordered a glass of water and my dad ordered a glass of ginger ale. Then me and my family slept some more! Thud! We were landing!
After we landed, we got our bags and we headed straight for the car rental. There, we had to wait for almost 1 hour because it was so busy there. Eventually, we got the car! At first, my mom and dad thought it was too big, and I thought it was perfect, but later my mom and dad realized it was a good size. I was so happy that we were going to Las Vegas, but before we could go to Vegas, we had to visit the Antelope canyon, The Grand Canyon, and the Horseshoe Bend. We were planning to stay in Page, a small but great town because all of those places were close to Page! To Page, it was a 4-hour drive. I was pretty concerned at that time, but later I got over it.
The 4-hour Journey to Page was fun and full of music. To pass the time, we either talked a lot or sang the songs that we were playing. Since we were getting tired along the way, we took many breaks. Along the way, I also noticed that there were letters on the mountains, and I was wondering what they were. We took a break at Hurricane City. Then I understood what the letters on the mountains mean. They mean the place you are in. Like in Hurricane City, the mountains had and H. We didn't eat any food there because we didn't have time. We just ate snacks in the car like protein bars, chips and more. We also experienced a lot of rain along the way. One time in the middle, we dodged a humongous part of the rain. It was so gigantic!
Finally, we safely reached Page! There we went to the hotel in Page. Its name was Quality Inn. The hotel looked old, but it was beautiful inside. It had a TV, a perfect sized bed, a big bathroom and a big closet that I could stand in. We ate chapati and sauce there then, talked about what we should do tomorrow, and later slept. Good night! Don’t let the bedbugs bite!
